Ron is originally from Auchindoun in the hills of Banffshire. Worked on the farms before embarking on a career in the Police Service in Airdrie later transferring to Angus. Retired after surviving 30 years and spent a further 10 years looking after the Command and Control system of Tayside Police. Now working part time with his son George in his Blacksmiths business in Arbroath. Secretary of the Montrose Accordion & Fiddle Club and organiser of Sunday night dances in Arbroath for past 17 years as well as running Wednesday night dances with Steven keeps him out of mischief most of the time.

Steven is the other half of the Angus Accordion & Fiddle Festival and needs no introduction Steven has been broadcasting since 1992, originally as the Strathmore Sound, but for the last 10 years as the Steven Carcary Scottish Dance Band. Originally from Friockheim, he now resides in Bridge of Earn, Perthshire. Steven is kept very busy with teaching accordion and always in great demand to play at weddings and dances. He also has a recording studio and has produced CD’s for various artists.
